It fits really nicely in their catalog and shows a definite growth and almost maturity in the material on it.

Like every other Queen album its got wall to wall great musicianship and songwriting and arrangements. If you're a fan of any of their other material old or new you'll find something you like on this one If not all of it. Good quality press, this album is remastered. Inner sleeve is printed, paper, and square. It is 1 LP in a 2 sleeve gatefold with the original poster on the back of the lyrics sheet I Album) think amazon will let me put a picture up of a bunch of naked women riding bicycles.

I love this album, so many great Jealousy - Queen - Jazz (CD on here. The first track is Mustapha written by Freddie which I believe is a nod to his Middle Eastern roots, as it reminds me of the Bollywood type of music.

Every time I hear this song I picture Freddie as he was shown at the end of the Bo Rap movie, standing up and playing the piano with one hand, holding his mic with the other hand, singing the lyrics very fast and I can understand every word he is singing. If you are a fan of Queen, or new to Queen, you will not regret getting this great album, Jealousy - Queen - Jazz (CD. They certainly had nothing to prove with their next album, Jazz, but again the quartet excelled beyond description and expectations with this often underrated work.

Bicycle Race and Fat-Bottomed Girls proved commercial enough for the Top 40, yet ecclectic enough not to tarnish the reputation of one of the best bands ever to exist. Still using no synthesizers, Queen was a group of four geniuses, who fortunately united to bring us an experience in the audio arts that is rivalled only by the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and a few others.

There is good, there is great, and there is Queen. I purchased this used. It is in mint condition and is a Japanese vinyl pressing.

The album is one of the greats as it has a few songs that are my favorite songs. This also has the original nude bicycle poster with a lot of naked girls riding bikes. There are other hidden gems on this album as I usually buy an album and play it in its entirety. I purchased this because I collect Japanese vinyl pressings as they are some of the best sounding albums from this era.

Most where pressed on virgin vinyl where as other countriesmostly the US, where using the scraps and recycled vinyl during this era. My only complaint about this album, and this is my fault for not inquiring, is that it is missing the OBI sash.

That may sound picky to most, but as a collector, I like having the OBI intact on my Japan pressings. Overall a great album from a great band.

I love Jealousy - Queen - Jazz (CD music, but this album was not a favorite. It has a couple of the big hits- fat bottomed girls and bicycle race. Don't stop me now is one of the best songs on this album and of course reflects where Freddie was at at this stage of his life. Still, glad to have it to have the full Album) of Queen songs. You will hear at least 2 of those 3 songs at their concerts with Adam Lambert. The rest of the songs are more forgettable This is one of my favs from this band.

I have had previous versions and don't recall these volume issues on them. Could it be a remastering problem? Some songs start off a little low and then get louder halfway thru.

The first song Mustafa is supposed to be like that, but not others. Has anyone else heard this? Queen has always dared to try different approaches and styles, and yet just keeps rocking! One person found this helpful. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries.

I got to know queen from 'Jazz'. When Jazz was released the pick up was Freddie is on top form right from the start MoustaphaBrian's work on guitar impressive Dead on timeTaylor's drumming just break your bones. There's humour More of that Jazz, Bicycle Racepure rock n' roll Fat bottomed girls, If you can't beat thempower full ballads those only Queen could write and sing Jealousy, In only seven Days- John Deacon at his besteven a funky-disco style which I prefer Fun it one year before the smash hit Another one bites the dust.

Queen never sounded better and more confident. The nude bicyclists poster is still on my room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The opening song on this album is still as hauntingly beautiful as I remember it when it first came out. I don't think back in the seventies we realised what a wonderful timeless piece of operatic music it was. Some of the other more popular songs overshadow this masterpiece of showcasing Freddy's voice, but the whole album, as with all of Queen's earlier music, just takes it all to a different sort of cutting edge then their contemporaries of the time.

Wonderful melodies, the usual Queen quality, but the CD didn't arrive on time. Worth waiting for, but glad it wasn't a gift to be delivered by a certain date. Report abuse. I bought this in vinyl in the early 80s and hadn't heard it for years. Love it and amazingly still know all the words to the songs Another unique and one off from Queen. This should be a part of any Queen fan's collection. This needed a couple of times in my cleaning machine, and eventually it revealed how it should sound, but, as this album is getting on a bit, its a very good album.

Well worth the buy, and arrived promptly. Customers who bought this item also bought. Page 1 of 1 Start over Page 1 of 1. The Game. News Of The World. A Day At The Races. Queen II. There's a problem loading this menu right now.
